Put a cotton ball behind your lip, as Best Friend of the Podcast Papa Bear Gilles de Coster invites another ten candidates to join him in some challenges, deception and ultimately friendship, this time in Arizona! As always, one of them has a second motive – to sabotage and restrict the pot as much as possible, whilst avoiding the searching gaze of both their fellow players and the public. Each week, two guys who hate it when a twist comes together – Logan Bindles & I – will be attempting to uncover the truth behind the lies and who will be replacing us halfway through the season, beginning with the first episode and elimination of world-famous actor Matteo Simoni!
In this episode:
- We begin by moaning about the website we record on.
- Are we glad to have België back?
- How do we feel about the celebrity twist?
- I take a little bit of credit.
- We try and guess next week’s title quote source.
- A clue gets spotted.
- Where in the wereld is Logan Saunders?
- Have we seen Twin Peaks?
- Is there a chance we’ve heard of Matteo Simoni?
- When was the first challenge filmed?
- Is there a tool you shouldn’t use?
- Are we getting Argentina flashbacks?
- How would we have done with the statements?
- Did they try to disguise Matteo?
- What would have happened if the duel had ended with no hits?
- We pre-empt each other’s questioning.
- Does Ruben have the best intro in Mole history?
- Is the Matteo twist a bit superficial?
- How famous is Matteo really?
- Bindles wasn’t looking.
- Which line would we have chosen?
- Australia 6 has a go at one of these challenges.
- How fast was the money clock?
- Do they have a standing deal with the hiding shit in clocks industry?
- Why did everyone trust Lieselot’s timing?
- How would they have handled Matteo being in the caravan?
- Is the execution a shame?
- How did the public react to the twist?
- Next week could have a new favourite sound clip.
- Who do we suspect?
- And who’s going home next?
A new season also means a new predictions pool for me to lose at! In our België one, Logan & I will each draft four candidates following this week’s episode. As Logan won last year’s Belgian pool, he gets first draft. Our fan-favourite Switches also return and can – as with WIDM – be used until final five becomes final four. Whoever is left over will join the team who loses someone next week – in the event of a double execution, that will be the team who loses someone first next week.
The teams will be revealed on next week’s episode!
You can also join us in the First Suspicions game by filling in this form. The form will be live until Episode 2 airs on Sunday! You can also take part in the Bother’s Bar Suspect List here.
See you next week!
